This pepper mill, #782, is an 18" pepper mill that I entered in the Utah State Fair in 2007. I won 1st place with this beauty! The species
of woods used in this pepper mill are: Goncallo Alves, Mahogany, Oak,
Purpleheart, Redheart, and Walnut woods.
This pepper mill, #377, is one I created as an experiment and then I entered
it in the Utah State Fair in 2004 and won Best of Show with it! This is
made out of six species of woods and has a lot of different laminations
in it. Where most of the other pepper mills I've done have a two-step
glueing process, this mill has a five-step glueing process. The species
of woods used in this pepper mill are: Cherry, Holly, Lyptus, Maple, Oak,
and Padauk woods. I've begun calling this type of a salt mill and pepper
mill an "abstract mill."
#280 is a 12" pepper mill, my wife picked out the woods so they are
all of the same color family - tints of reds and browns. I entered it
in the Weber County Fair in 2004 and won First Place! This is made out
of four species of woods and has a lot of different laminations in it
as you can see in views 2 and 4. The species of woods used in this pepper
mill are: Wenge, PurpleHeart, Mahogany, and RedHeart woods.
This pepper mill is one of my favorites and was the first pepper mill
I entered into a competition, it is #118. I entered it in the Utah State Fair in 2003
and won First Place with it! This is made out of 5 species of woods and
has 10 different laminations in it. The species of woods used in this
pepper mill are: Aromatic Cedar, Rosewood, Lyptus, Maple, and PurpleHeart
woods.
These pepper mills are not available for purchase but here are other
pepper mills available for purchase.
