PepperMill Specifics

I've made peppermills in a variety of sizes from 6" to 18" tall. All the grinding mechanisms I use are stainless steel and are adjustible for fine to coarse ground pepper; I offer a lifetime warranty on all my peppermills. The process I use to select and assemble the woods together, along with cutting them on an angle, ensures that each peppermill will be uniquelly spectacular and impossible to duplicate. You can be assured that your peppermill will be truly one-of-a-kind and although you may see peppermills with the same woods and cut in the same design, you will never see another one exactly like yours.

Each peppermill is numbered sequentially when it is created and has my signature hand carved on the bottom. You will be issued a Certificate of Authenticity that will be shipped with your peppermill.

PepperMill Wood Species

The woods included in my peppermills are carefully hand picked and placed together using different thicknesses and varying wood species. Sometimes the variety of wood species are placed together to complement each other, other times for contrast. I use a carefully selected combination of the following woods in varying thicknesses:

Exotic Wood Species

Common Wood Species

RedHeart      Oak
PurpleHeart      Beech
YellowHeart      Maple
RoseWood      Walnut
Zebra      Sassafras
Wenge      Cherry
Padauk      Holly
Goncollo Alves      Mahogany
Tulipwood      Lyptus

The process of preparing and turning the mill takes 3-4 days. Then I apply a polyurethane finish which is brushed on to ensure a good coat of finish. Some of the woods will take as long as a week to dry before the next coat can be applied. Although a spray finish from an aerosol can dries quicker, I don't feel the coats of finish are as thick as brushing it on. I apply five coats of finish on each peppermill giving each one a high gloss finish that will protect it for many years to come.
